Kovid-19 is taking to the world of robots

All the countries of the world are currently in an economic crisis to stop the spread of Covid-19. Although many parts of the world, including the United States and Europe, are now becoming normal, a large population is unable to return to work. Because not everything has turned out as before. However, no one can swear that everyone's unemployment will go away.

The reality of the sudden stagnation caused by the global epidemic, especially in the manufacturing and direct services sectors, has created a huge demand for automation. The owners are considering hiring robots for such work due to the situation that has arisen. Especially in the advanced world of technology, such a trend has been created extensively.

Entering the boundaries of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, various institutions of the rich and developed world were conducting intensive research on artificial intelligence. Regular news about this was already coming. People watched the news in amazement. Suddenly the news of a restaurant serving food with a robot may have sparked a heated discussion with friends. Someone or maybe his chest is trembling for fear of losing his job. But soon he laughed and flew away again. But now that a virus has locked everything up without a word, that fear is back. And this time it came back much more authentically.

The International Labor Organization (ILO) had earlier predicted that half of the world's working people would lose their jobs due to Covid-19. In the meantime, more than four crore people have been reported to be unemployed in the United States. The situation in the rest of the developed world is no exception. It is not possible to know the exact number of informal labor in countries like Bangladesh. However, when the cries of the garment workers are heard, the situation in the informal sector is easily predictable. The ILO says Kovid-19 will cause at least 120 million people to lose their jobs in Asia and the Pacific alone. And more than 50 million people will lose their jobs in Europe. This information is enough to understand the depth of the crisis.

China is far ahead in technological advancement. One of the world's leading economic powers is increasing its reliance on automation. How much? That being said, this technology is being used more in China than any other country in the world. According to the Center for Innovating Futures, China uses more automation than any other country in the world. They are doing this in a variety of ways, from using artificial intelligence to using robots in factory work. But being a country with high population density, it was thought differently.

However, even before the global epidemic, people began to lose their jobs to automation and robots. Many organizations were gradually increasing their reliance on technology. Criticism was also being made about this. Labor dissatisfaction was also seen in different directions. Many were reluctant to say that there was enough automation again. But when the Covid-19 came up with the demand for adherence to the principle of maintaining physical distance, when the only known remedy was to stop everything, it was seen that nothing was actually automated. As a result, in this situation, companies are now leaning towards automation. In this case too, the United States and China are competing. Japan is also competing with these two countries.

Last year, China invested 2.5 percent of its gross domestic product, or 355.4 billion, in scientific and technological research, according to government data. US investment in the same sector is higher than that of China alone. Like all other countries, China's economy is in crisis at the time of this global epidemic. But at the moment, China is investing 423 billion in the sector. China will invest 247,000 USD in the high-tech sector over the next six years, according to Shanghai Securities News.

The problem is elsewhere. And that is, people's support for automation or similar technology is increasing. Human support for this robotic or artificial intelligence automation has doubled in pre-Corona times. As a result, there is no doubt that this trend will accelerate. And it will bring the whole world into a new reality.

People have built cities on the way to this stage of technology. The man, who grew up in a rural area, has explored the city. He has moved to the city for work and income. It is this urban civilization that has given the advancement of technology. As this technology moves towards its ultimate excellence, more and more people are becoming refugees in the city. That is, now is the time of counter-current. People now have to leave this home-made city in the hands of machines and return to the original address. This time, only low-income unskilled workers will not be refugees. This time educated and skilled workers will also join the team. They will be forced to leave the city with robots and automatic devices in the villages. This return is by no means romantic. Because, when one sector gets the benefit of this technology, it will start taking over other sectors as well. Since the robot does not have to pay any salary, it will no doubt be welcomed by the owner. But at the same time, the vacuum that will be created by this, the way in which multiple classes will be affected, will make it difficult to handle its political push.
